Hidaya Trust offers internship opportunities to students of various fields (technical and non-technical)  who will be graduating in near future or have already graduated and are seeking job opportunities.  The objective of offering internship is to benefit the underprivileged students and prepare them for competitive job market while strengthening their technical and career development skills. Internees get the opportunity to work directly on various Hidaya-IT related tasks, including but not limited to development of Hidaya's internal paperless system, providing consultancy to external customers (profit and non-profit organizations), delivering training classes to underprivileged students at local schools and colleges to increase their interest in education. 

 

Non technical internees learn various aspects of project management while executing Educational, Environmental, Social Welfare and Health Care Programs at Hidaya.  In addition to learning through these on-the-job training activities, the internees may also be offered classroom training to help them upgrade their own skills to better prepare for job search .  Classes offered may include various languages (English, Arabic, Turkish & Chinese), CV /Resume writing, Interview Techniques, and Project Management.

 

Deserving internees may be offered remuneration to partially compensate for their living expenses. 

 

The minimum duration of internship will be three months, extendable up to 12 months maximum based on organizational situation/need.  Candidates who may perform well may transition to long term full time contractual job at Hidaya.

Sitara-e-Isaar Awarded to Hidaya Foundation

The sister organization of Hidaya Trust, Hidaya Foundation was awarded Sitara-i-Eisaar (Star of Sacrifice) by the Government of Pakistan, in recognition of the results-oriented relief efforts of both the organizations during the 2005 earthquake in Pakistan. It was awarded during a special ceremony held at the Embassy of Pakistan in Washington, DC.
