An MBBS degree with 2-3 years of experience in pediatrics and OB/GY is required.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides and manages direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses and treatment for women and children (under the age of 10) in the Shiakrpur district under Hidaya Trust operations.
  • Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions.
  • Refers patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate.
  • Directs and coordinates the patient care activities with the help of the nurse or compounder.
  • Follows established Hidaya policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Knowledge , skills ans abilities required:
  • Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care.
  • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
  • Knowledge of community medical diagnostic and patient care services in area of medical expertise.
  • Ability to supervise, advise, and train nurse or a compounder
  • Knowledge of current principles, methods and procedures for the delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis and treatment in area of expertise.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to observe, assess, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress.
  • Knowledge of relevant drugs and non-pharmaceutical patient care aids and ability to prescribe dosages and instruct patients in correct usage.
 

Sitara-e-Isaar Awarded to Hidaya Foundation

The sister organization of Hidaya Trust, Hidaya Foundation was awarded Sitara-i-Eisaar (Star of Sacrifice) by the Government of Pakistan, in recognition of the results-oriented relief efforts of both the organizations during the 2005 earthquake in Pakistan. It was awarded during a special ceremony held at the Embassy of Pakistan in Washington, DC.
