Responsible for managing complete program including Social welfare & Disaster Relief, Health care, Educational & Vocational.  Knowledge of project management skills, knowledge of writing project proposals & project reports. Under indirect supervision, oversees the operational planning, establishment, execution, and evaluation of a multifaceted program/project typically consisting of a set of closely related subprograms or associated activities. Oversee fiscal, operational, administrative, and human resources management of the program. Serves as principal point of representation and liaison with external constituencies on operational matters, and provides day-to-day technical/professional guidance and leadership as appropriate to the area of expertise.Candidate must have minimum 4 years of experience at program management level with Master Degree from HEC recognized University. Program manager reports to operations manager and dotted line to local management.

 


Responsiblities:
  • Manage and oversee the administrative and daily operations of all projects for a set of programs under execution by Hidaya Trust. Ensure compliance with regional and local government policies and regulations.
  • Oversees the supervision of project managers and field officers, which includes work allocation, training, and problem resolution; evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions; motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.
  • Designs and develops or assists with design and development of program(s) or project(s).
  • Manage budgets and funding; recommend to the executive team for their approval - the budget expenditures; prepare budget revisions; provide interim status reports on all accounts; oversee, coordinate, and/or assist with proposal writing to develop additional funding.
  • Provide technical and/or professional coordination and leadership in the execution of day-to-day program/project activities, as appropriate to program objectives and area of expertise.
  • Develop annual operating budgets and provides fiscal direction to the unit.
  • Maintain and implement Hidaya systems and processes to establish and maintain records for the operating unit.
  • Oversee and/or coordinate the collection, compilation, and analysis of program activity data; develop, writes, and present program reports to the executive team in Pakistan, and when necessary, to the Hidaya Foundation staff over the phone.
  • Assist in producing, developing, advertising, and marketing project(s) in various media such as print and video; may assist in developing teaching materials, handouts, news releases, pamphlets, and brochures.
  • Assist in establishing and implementing short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
  • Develop or assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures consistent with those of the organization to ensure efficient operation of the program/project.
  • Oversees financial well-being of the program by analyzing cost effectiveness and exercising cost controls; prepares, submits and justifies budget enhancement requests to the Division Manager or Director.
  • Provides for the selection, training, professional development and work evaluation of subordinate staff and makes recommendations on hiring, termination, promotion and discipline as required.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  • Work in any emergency and special project.
Knowledge, Skills and abilities required:
  • Excellent English (verbal and oral) skills.
  • Excellent skills in using computer especially in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent typing skills, minimum 30 words per minute.
  • Strong Leadership skills.
  • Good presentation skills to report to the higher management.
  • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
  • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
  • Knowledge of management principles and practices.
  • Ability to provide technical coordination and management of development and/or implementation projects in area of expertise.

  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.

Sitara-e-Isaar Awarded to Hidaya Foundation

The sister organization of Hidaya Trust, Hidaya Foundation was awarded Sitara-i-Eisaar (Star of Sacrifice) by the Government of Pakistan, in recognition of the results-oriented relief efforts of both the organizations during the 2005 earthquake in Pakistan. It was awarded during a special ceremony held at the Embassy of Pakistan in Washington, DC.
