The coordinator position administers the expanded sports program for Hidaya Trust Shikarpur. The ability to organize, use effective time management skills, excellent verbal and oral communication skills as well as attention to detail are required for this position. The ability to plan for, and monitor the annual budget within his area of responsibility is also required. The individual must actively and continuously recruit youth in the district to participate in physical and sports activities. The objective is to get the youth away from time wasting activities such as TV programs and electronic spots.

Excellent verbal and human relation skills are needed. Working in a deadline environment also requires superior time management skills. The position requires an individual that is able to work successfully under multi-tasking environment in a non-profit setting. The individual must also be able to solve problems based on knowledge and experience while making most of those judgments independently.



Position Responsibilities:

  • Plan and administer a variety of sports program to attract youth in the community to become physically more active.
  • Design and implement sports special events and competitions to keep the interest of the youth participation, alive.
  •  
  • Compile and submit all participation numbers to the Managing Program Director of Shikarpur district, for the Annual Report.
  • Recruit, train and supervise volunteers to help expand and manage the sport activities and events for the district.
  • Maintain an official schedule for all sports activities and events.
  • Develop the programs in a way that the youth find them attractive; fun and educational atmosphere
  • Continuously ensure the safety of all participants.
    Learn CPR/First Aid/AED.
  • Attend regular meetings of the Division professional staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Managing Program Director
 

Sitara-e-Isaar Awarded to Hidaya Foundation

The sister organization of Hidaya Trust, Hidaya Foundation was awarded Sitara-i-Eisaar (Star of Sacrifice) by the Government of Pakistan, in recognition of the results-oriented relief efforts of both the organizations during the 2005 earthquake in Pakistan. It was awarded during a special ceremony held at the Embassy of Pakistan in Washington, DC.
